What a year it has been so far, and it is only February! The new homeowner tax credit has been raised to $8,000. $8,000 dollars, money all first time home buyers can use... This is only good through 2009. In order for the first time home buyer to not have to pay this money back they must stay in the property for three years. For all those who are still "thinking" about buying... think quickly! Another good forecast that has hit the books, home buying and selling has increased several percentage points over last year. I am seeing positive gains all around, while buyers are still getting excellent values on homes, that would have been out-of-reach only a year ago, sellers are also able to sell their homes, as long as they are well priced and present as well as, or better than, their competition. | BANK FORECLOSURES A GREAT BUY! A large percentage of homes that are selling in Clark County are bank short sales and foreclosures. This state of the market will not last forever so be sure to check out what is available out here before they are all gone. This is a great way to purchase a home, at a drastically reduced price. Most of these homes have deferred maintenance and will need cosmetic and sometimes structural repairs. So be sure to conduct a full home inspection.
