Spring 2024: Upcoming Events In Clark County, Washington

Spring marks the beginning of an absolutely stunning stretch of months in the Pacific Northwest. It’s no surprise that the warm weather also leads to a blossoming of local community events. We’ve gathered up some of our favorites below!

Rowena’s Picks

MAY 4 - WALK / RUN FOR THE ANIMALS
Downtown Vancouver Waterfront

Our favorite event of the year! This annual community walk & run is a key fundraiser for our beloved local Southwest Washington Humane Society. Choose between the one, two, or three-mile scenic stroll, or sign up for the 5K chip-timed run (all routes are pet-friendly, of course!). We are proud to sponsor this event each year and hope to see you there! We will have a unique giveaway booth with a very special guest. Come join us and bring your four-legged family members!

JUNE 1 - LEMONADE DAY
Vancouver Farmer’s Market

Each year on Lemonade Day, young entrepreneurs take over the Vancouver Farmer’s Market to sell their homemade and homegrown goods. The day is a culmination of a youth program held by the Greater Vancouver Chamber in partnership with OnPoint Community Credit Union. The young sellers take home a portion of their hard-earned profit, while a percentage is also dedicated to a charity of their choosing.

WEEKENDS - VANCOUVER FARMER’S MARKET
Esther Short Park

Our award winning local farmer’s market is open year round, but it truly comes to life in the Spring and Summer. Unbeatable fresh produce, locally made goods, gorgeous fresh flowers and much more are available at this large weekly market.

Celebrating Local Nature

APRIL - LOCAL TULIP FARM TOURS

You don’t need to go all the way up to Skagit Vallet to experience gorgeous rolling tulip fields during peak bloom season! There are lots of local tulip farms that offer u-pick fields, cut bunches, and ideal photo ops. Two of our favorites are Holland America Tulips in Woodland, and Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn, OR.

Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens

The Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens are a National Historic Site dedicated to honoring the work of famed lilac developer Hulda Klager. Each Spring, they host “Lilac Days” to celebrate the beauty of lilacs at peak bloom. Flower enthusiasts come from near and far to enjoy the gardens here and we think you should make a point to visit too!

Give back this Earth Day by joining WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners for a day of community service.
